Someone Like Me (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Composer duo Edo Van Breemen and Johannes Winkler release their Motion Picture Soundtrack Album for the award winning National Film Board of Canada (NFB) documentary “Someone Like Me”, from directors Sean Horlor and Steve J. Adams. The film shows the uniquely complicated journey of one LGBTQ refugee seeking asylum in Canada.

The Album consists of 13 tracks which propel the story with subtle deliberation and complement the many dynamic challenges faced by the film’s subjects. The composers limited instrumentation and orchestration to a minimal palette: leaning into prepared piano, extended string playing techniques, vintage analog synthesizers, and tape machines.

This soundtrack is released on Vogel Records (Vienna, Austria), in partnership with the NFB, and will be distributed on all major platforms for online streaming.
